Gathering on Immigrant Rights and ICE

Are you worried about the attacks by ICE perpetrated on the immigrants in our communities? Do you want to help but don’t know how? Then you want to come to a community meeting with other people of good faith and conscience in Polk County. You’ll get an update about ICE presence in Oregon, learn about the recent loss of legal status of immigrants, and find out about the many ways that you can help our immigrant neighbors. During the meeting we’ll discuss the following: Protection of vulnerable neighbors. Supporting individuals who feel lost during this time of upheaval. Develop strategies for effective support for our neighbors who are fearful of possible deportation and others who are afraid to leave their homes. Develop a unified community supporting human rights. The meeting will be conducted by experts who work with local immigrants every day.
