Please email riotart@salemregionindivisble.org to RSVP and for location.
Hello Indivisibles! Fascist Fighters! Friends!
If you are angry with the rise of an authoritarian regime, if you need a healthy, safe, and creative way to express your frustrations, if you are looking for an outlet to commune with other creatives and like-minded resisters in a non-intimidating, low-intensity environment, Please JOIN US!
Bring whatever portable art you are currently working on, plan your next protest poster, or try one of the activities provided! You are also more than welcome to just come, sip coffee, and socialize with a welcoming and inclusive group.
(Please bring your own materials for personal projects.)
Together, we can discuss the state of the world and what we can do about it while purging out any toxins via the vehicle of creativity. We can also share resources, upcoming events, and brainstorm other creative actions and opportunities to fight fascism and make a difference in our community.
If you don’t have your own project to work on, we will have supplies for the following:
- Kintsugi Hearts
- Kindness Clothespins
- Resistance Collage – Destroy the King
- Blackout Poetry
- Protest Peg Dolls
- Resistance Rocks
- Buttons against Billionaires
- A small selection of cardstock paper and blank postcards to make protest art or mail an important message.
- This month’s featured project: The Butterfly Migration Project
Coffee will be provided. Feel free to bring a treat to share.
*Monetary or material donations are always appreciated so we can keep creatively resisting! We can always use heavy-duty poster board, bold permanent markers (black and red!), glue sticks, postcard stamps, etc. If you are wondering what to donate, please reach out to find out what materials are most needed at the time!
ALL are welcome. Absolutely NO artistic experience necessary!
Would love a general headcount, so please RSVP by responding to this message!Thank you!
In creativity, community, and solidarity!
